We are pleased to announce that applications are open for two 2024 Segil Stem Cell Travel Scholarships. The Neil Segil Stem Cell Travel Scholarship fund was set up to commemorate our friend and colleague Professor Neil Segil, recognizing Neil’s passion for science and education.
The Neil Segil Stem Cell Travel Scholarship will provide up to $1,000 of support for two undergraduate students actively engaged in research within USC’s Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, to enable the applicants’ participation at national or international meetings within the areas of developmental and stem cell biology, and regenerative medicine.
Applicants are expected to discuss suitable meetings and obtain a brief letter of support from their PIs. Students are expected to present their research in a poster or platform session. The scholarship support can be used to cover appropriate meeting-related expenses (registration, travel, accommodation, and meals). The application deadline is April 12th, 2024 for meetings in 2024.
