2025 Call for Applications: CIRM Clinical Research Fellowship in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine

We have 1-year positions with a 1-year renewal option available for clinical trainees interested in conducting research related to stem cell biology and/or regenerative medicine in one of the leading labs at USC or CHLA. The positions are open to current clinical residents, clinical fellows or individuals that completed their MDs. No prior research experience is needed. Funding will begin July 1st (or later).

  1. Cover letter expressing your research interests
  2. Biosketch including the following information as bullet points:
  • Full name and contact
  • Undergraduate school, month/year graduated, GPA
  • Medical/dental degree (if applicable), institution, month/year awarded
  • Any current or previous fellowships
  • Any prior research experience
  • Current visa status
  1. Two letters of reference
  2. Laboratory matches and development of research project aims

We will let you know on April 18th whether your letter of intent passed the pre-selection criteria. In case of a positive review of your initial submission, you are expected to develop, in consultation with the PI of your laboratory of interest, a 2-page plan summarizing your research project and aims, which should be submitted by May 16th. Our team is available to work with you to identify a laboratory that matches your interests. The final decision about your acceptance will be made on June 6th, 2025.
