The University of Southern California (USC) and Amgen Inc. are pleased to announce the Amgen-USC Scholars Program. This program provides research opportunities and career mentorship for postdoctoral fellows who are interested in academic research as well as biotechnology. These fellows will be co-mentored by USC faculty and Amgen scientists. The program’s research focus will use the most advanced stem cell and regenerative medicine technology in the areas of: neuroscience; skeletal, renal and cardiovascular biology; and metabolism.
Applicants will have completed their PhDs within the last six months before the program’s commencement in October 2017. The three-year program includes two years at USC and one year at Amgen. Candidates will be selected by a committee of both USC faculty and Amgen scientists. Upon completion of the program, fellows may have the option to extend their postodoctoral fellowship or pursue additional career opportunities with either Amgen or USC (dependent upon individual’s fellowship performance).
Few careers offer the chance to make a difference in people’s lives. Take advantage of opportunities at Amgen, one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies. Explore the Amgen-USC Postdoctoral Fellowship Program positions (R-40914, R-40915, R-40916) at careers.amgen.com.
