A fund has been set up to commemorate our friend and colleague Professor Neil Segil. Recognizing Neil’s passion for science and education, we are delighted to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Neil Segil Stem Cell Travel Scholarship.
The Neil Segil Stem Cell Travel Scholarship will enable two undergraduate students, who are actively engaged in research within USC’s Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, to attend a national or international meeting within the area of regenerative medicine, broadly defined. Applicants are expected to discuss suitable meetings and obtain a brief letter of support from their PIs. Preference will be given to students presenting their research as a poster or in a speaking session. Successful applicants will receive up to $1,000 to cover appropriate meeting-related expenses (i.e., registration, travel, accommodation, and meals).
