October 12 marks Stem Cell Awareness Day, an annual public outreach event co-hosted by USC Stem Cell and the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM).
As the centerpiece of this year’s event, we invite teams of two or more students or postdocs to submit innovative proposals for creative, engaging, educational and interactive projects to spread awareness about stem cell science. Projects can range from hands-on demonstrations to interactive displays, from performance art installations to event programming of any type. Let your imagination be your guide.
Each winning proposal will receive $2,000 to be used for the project. Up to two projects will be funded, and winners will be showcased at a two-hour evening event open to the Health Sciences Campus and surrounding community.
Applicants should submit a one-page proposal that includes: an outline of your project idea; your proposed outreach strategy; and your project’s impact.
To apply, please submit your proposal to Elizabeth Stolow at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 p.m. on September 15, 2016.
