Directors of the Donald E. and Delia B. Baxter Foundation visited the USC Health Sciences Campus this May, to hear presentations from Keck School of Medicine of USC faculty and meet with participants in the Baxter Foundation Student Research Fellowship Program. The Baxter Foundation recently gave $300,000 to the Keck School to support junior faculty research, as well as its summer research fellowship program. This year’s junior faculty recipients are Joseph T. Rodgers, assistant professor of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine, and Hyungjin Eoh, assistant professor of molecular microbiology and immunology.

Since 1959, the Baxter Foundation has supported USC medical students and young investigators as they embark on their careers, start independent laboratories and perform the innovative research that will eventually benefit patients. The Baxter Foundation’s mission is to advance charitable, scientific and educational purposes, primarily at medical and scientific schools in California.
